DRIHMS Hydro-Meteorology Research questionnaire has been launched!

The questionnaire was prepared during the DRIHMS HMR Consultation Meeting held in Munich on February 2-3 at LMU headquarters.

The DRIHMS consortium would like to invite you to contribute to this questionnaire, which is available at www.drihms.eu/survey/survey and very much value your feedback!

The purpose of this questionnaire is to define important topics in Hydro-Meteorology Research that can benefit from advances in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and thus set a joint HMR-ICT research and applications agenda.

Increasing challenges in HMR within Europe relate to the ability to retrieve and access data from different  sources/countries, stored in different formats, to use in a seamless way suites of hydrologic/meteorological models each with its own input/output formats, to exploit  computational resources for on-line operations by individual groups, objective methodologies for downscaling model outputs to local conditions, objective comparison of model performance,  ability to store data from field campaigns in standard formats for easy access by the larger research community, facilitation of operational forecasting, etc.
