Announcement - 5th Grid and e-collaboration workshop: from Digital Repositories to Digital Earth Communities
The European Space Agency, within the GENESI-DR project is organising the aforementioned workshop, which will be held on the 12th of May at ESA-ESRIN in Frascati, Italy.
The workshop is part of the series "grid and e-collaboration" (please have a look at http://www.congrex.nl/08m16/ for the last year event), and is intended to be also the final User Forum workshop of GENESI-DR project.
Starting from the federation of Digital Repositories set up by GENESI-DR, the challenge is now to expand this e-Infrastructure to fully respond to the real needs of several Digital Earth Communities. Relations among specific European and worldwide programmes and initiatives, projects collaborations, gateways with already existing infrastructures, and communities specific tools will considered. Focus will be given to project funded by different directorates of EC, and to the GEO-GEOSS programme.
