EGI Blueprint endorsed by the EGI Policy Board

The EGI Blueprint, which details the implementation of the EGI Organization’s activities and the first phases of the development of a sustainable grid infrastructure in Europe, has been endorsed by the EGI Policy Board, which consists of representatives of National Grid Initiatives from 39 countries.

e-IRG White Paper draft released – Comments welcomed!

The first public version of the e-Infrastructure Reflection Group (e-IRG) White Paper 2008 has been released and is now entering its consultation phase. The document invites policy makers, service providers and user communities to join in the discussion concerning the near future of e-Infrastructures.

The first issue of the e-IRG Newsletter has been released. You will find in this first issue important information on: - the Czech EU Presidency’s agenda in the field of e-infrastructures; - the new e-IRG Data Management Task Force; - the new e-IRG White Paper.

Amsterdam to host EGI.org

Amsterdam has been chosen to host EGI.org, the coordinating organization responsible for managing the European Grid Initiative (EGI).
